Kuro Ren is the nickname of programmer and designer G. Houston. He picked up the name Kuro by accident while kicking around various corners of the internet, and has become quite fond of it. The Ren part however is slightly newer to aleviate the fact that Kuro is a very common Japanese word (it's the color black). Ren means lotus in Japanese, a flower that is symbolic of enlightenment & spirituality in Hinduism and purity & detachment in Buddhism.
His first complete game is a free html 5 game called Bwahaha Dice with Death and intended to be a quick/basic exploration of a simple mechanic. Games of chance have been a cornerstone of human history and it's a facinating genre. Eventually, a facelift is planned, although other projects keep sidetracking things.
He's currently working on an infinite runner that takes a bad idea that nobody in their right mind would flesh out into a game and runs with it. (boom tish). It's not quite ready yet, and needs a few of the kinks worked out, but watch this space closer to Christmas (no comment on what year, bwahhaaha).
While prototyping games, Kuro sometimes makes game assets that he thinks could be useful to other devs - and these he puts up on itch.io as well in case they are useful to someone.
